Your safety is of paramount importance to us. We have implemented various COVID-19 related safety measures, processes and procedures (“Infectious Diseases: Health and Safety Protocol”) with our staff and teams to ensure we create an environment that is both safe and hygienic when you get us to collect test samples, which protocol was developed by taking guidance from guidelines and hygiene policies prescribed and published by the World Health Organisation.

Your COVID -19 test samples will be tested by an independent third party that is not owned and / or managed by The Pumba Collection (“Third Party Service Providers”). Whilst all Third-Party Service Providers of The Pumba Collection have committed to implement similar processes and procedures as to our Infectious Diseases: Health and Safety Protocol to try and protect guests making use of their services, The Pumba Collection is not in a position to validate or dictate their health and safety protocols which will vary between Third Party Service Providers. As a result, we cannot confirm the standard to which Third Party Service Providers protocols adhere to and as such we cannot accept any form of liability (in the broadest terms) should you (or any member of your party) contract an infectious disease (including COVID-19) when using the services of a Third-Party Service Provider.

The same will apply in respect of public areas (i.e., landmarks, public venues, sightseeing venues, etc.) which you may wish to visit, The Pumba Collection nor Third Party Service Providers have any control over health and safety protocols followed at public areas or any action(s) of a member of the public which may cause an infection of an infectious disease.

As with any protocol the measure of success in implementing a process or procedure under a protocol will be determined by the level of compliance and adherence to the relevant processes and procedures prescribed by the relevant protocol. Whilst The Pumba Collection will ensure full compliance by its management, employees and contractors with the Infectious Disease: Health and Safety Protocol, The Pumba Collection cannot accept any liability in the event of a guest(s) contracting an infectious disease (including COVID-19) as a direct or indirect result of complying or adhering to The Pumba Collection’s Infectious Diseases: Health and Safety Protocol.

COVID TESTING

Please note that it may be a regulatory requirement that you undergo a viral Covid-19 test during your stay in Kenya.

 

The Pumba Collection as an intermediary, can facilitate the Covid-19 testing process for you with a reputable pathology laboratory, which process may include but will not be limited to, the booking of a Covid-19 test, payment of a Covid-19 test, transportation of a Covid-19 test kit, transporting you to a pathology laboratory, collection of your Covid-19 test results, enquiring with a pathology laboratory for the status of your Covid-19 test results and the distribution of your Covid-19 test results to any regulatory body which may request your Covid-19 test results.

In the event of The Pumba Collection facilitating the Covid-19 testing process for you, you acknowledge that the pathology laboratory may disclose your Covid-19 test results to The Pumba Collection by means of an unprotected electronic format and that The Pumba Collection may print your Covid-19 test results to the extent that it may be necessary.

The Pumba Collection will undertake to use your Covid- 19 tests results for the purpose for which it was obtained and you will be required to indemnify The Pumba Collection, its shareholders, directors, employees and service providers against any loss and/or breach of confidential medical information which may occur as a result of The Pumba Collection facilitating the Covid-19 testing process.

 

If you wish for The Pumba Collection to facilitate the Covid-19 testing process for you, we will gladly do so. If you do not object to The Pumba Collection assuming the role of an intermediary by return e-mail, we will assume that you accept and consent to The Pumba Collection facilitating the Covid-19 testing process on your behalf.

For payments via credit/debit card, we do not collect or store any card details. We will send you a payment link through a safe and secure third party portal such as Stripe or PayPal.

The above disclaimer/indemnity shall include but not be limited to The Pumba Collection, Pearl Brands Ltd, The African Safari Guide Ltd, Mara Eden Safari Camp, African Bush Safaris LLC and any of the staff, employees, suppliers and associates.

 

 

 

Cancellation and Refund Policy

​

• If in the event you require us to cancel your booking for the COVID-19 sample collection the below cancellation fees shall apply.

• If cancelled 36 hours prior to the sample collection date and time then a full refund shall be given back to you less any bank charges that may have been incurred.

• If cancelled 12 hours to 35 hours prior to the sample collection date and time then a 75% refund shall be given back to you less any bank charges that may have been incurred.

• If cancelled less than 12 hours prior to the sample collection date and time then a 50% refund shall be given back to you less any bank charges that may have been incurred.

• If cancelled once the testing team has been dispatched to your location or is at your location or in the event of a no show then a 25% refund shall be given back to you less any bank charges that may have been incurred.

• In the event that no payment has been made to us and a cancellation has occurred you will still be liable to pay the amount due as per the cancellation terms above.

• If for any reason you are not able to travel to Kenya after you have paid for your COVID-19 sample collection and have informed us in due time as per the cancellation policy then a full refund less bank charges shall be issued back to you.
