COVID TEST SAMPLE COLLECTION INFORMATION FAQ's


Below are a few questions and answers for your convenience.

 

  1. Do you conduct PCR based tests? 
    Yes, we do.

     

  2. Which lab company do you work with and do they give a TT code? 
    We work with government approved facilities (Ministry of Health), registered with PanaBIOS.

     

  3. What clinic do you operate within the Mara? 
    We have a collection center in Talek.

     

  4. Operation time and days
    We are open 7 days a week including weekends and holidays, from 6 am to 6 pm (by appointment only). There are no delays on weekends and holidays. 

     

  5. Can you conduct these tests anywhere in the Mara?
    We can collect the samples at most camps and lodges in the Mara (Main Park) and nearby conservancies. However for far flung camps and lodges deep in the Mara or in other conservancies we can meet the guests preferably at one of the gates, airstrips, small towns or barriers (we will be in touch with your guide/lodge to make the arrangements).

     

  6. Do people need to pre-book in advance or can they do it on the same day? 
    We only allow pre-bookings.

     

  7. What sort of advance notice do you need and what is the booking phone number/email address?

  8. How long does it take to get results? 
    The test results will be ready in 24 to 36 hours after the samples are collected. 

     

  9. Do you email these to the clients directly? 
    The results and the TT code will be emailed directly to the clients.

     

  10. Is there an express test service offered in the Mara? i.e. if clients pay a bit extra and they can get their results on the same day, etc.                                                                                                                                                                    We do offer this service within 24 hours (strictly on a case to case basis, we will inform you if it is possible at the time).

11. What are the payment options?

      We offer 4 payment options:

 

  • Cash payments: Payable in USD, Euros or KSH on the test date (please ask for the exchange rate at the time of booking).

  • Stripe and PayPal: Payment must be done in advance or on the test date. There is a 5% surcharge for card payments. We accept the following cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, China Union Pay, debit cards.

  • Bank transfers: Payment must be done in advance and it must be cleared before the test date.

  • MPESA payments: Please use the exchange rate given and add the withdrawal charges  (we will send you the Paybill details).
